Five albums released in the 1990’s: Holy Intellect, Pure Poverty, Black Business, Killing U For Fun and The New World Order; three national and two world tours. Over a decade later, in 2007 – Wise Intelligent – front man of the critically acclaimed, Trenton, New Jersey based rap trio Poor Righteous Teachers releases The Talented Timothy Taylor – what was to many the most slept on album of its day, and lauded as the most lyrically strong album of his entire career; an extraordinary feat considering the incomparable lyrical assault unleashed on previous works. So how does an MC defy all Hip Hop logic by getting better as years pass, as opposed to becoming lyrically stale and irrelevant to what is now believed to be FRESH? Well, if wine gets better with age, Wise Intelligent is like “old wine in a new skin.” Since 2007, and The Talented Timothy Taylor’s entombing for 3 days, I mean 3 years – it is 2010 and The Talented Timothy Taylor has risen, resurrected in three days as The UnConkable Djezuz Djonez.

Wise Intelligent Iz…The UnConkable Djezuz Djonez represents 2nd Period of the rappers “Back to School” seven box-set. Djezuz Djonez is a “demigod” the “son of Bethulah” wielding a double edge sword in his mouth, having his loins girt about with truth, a breastplate of righteousness; and his feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. But don’t get it f***ed up! Don’t think his hometown of central New Jerusalem and the Galilee housing projects in which he grew is a biblical bed of roses! Djezuz Djonez:

The first single off the new album is called “WATER WALKER” a lively track produced by J. Pierre aka MASADA. The bravado of Masada’s production allows Djezuz Djonez to show us – better than he can tell us – how he can defy doubt and disbelief by walking effortlessly on primordial waters. According to the rapper, in an interview with KonsciousHipHop.com “Water Walker is about conquering doubt. In Matthew 14:28-31, Simon Peter wanted to walk on the water as the Master was walking on the water. The Master told him that he could, and he walked out on the water. However, when he marvelled in disbelief, he sank and nearly drowned. Water Walker is about getting all of the doubt out of my circumference before I proceed. All the naysayers, the “conscious rap is dead” the “it’s irrelevant” and other counter Konscious beliefs must be exiled before the miracle can be performed.”

When not in the studio putting “scripture to ghetto drums” Wise Intelligent spends his time as a Youth Media program director doing “What Would Djezuz Do,” giving young inner-city youth the skill set to tell their unique stories and to rise above the impediments of the environment in which they are embedded.

The UnConkable Djezuz Djonez is scheduled for a 2010 release and will be followed by a 20th Anniversary Poor Righteous Teachers studio album entitled “Post Racial Blues.” In the mist of recording, performing and establishing the entertainment media brand – Intelligent Media Group – closer to the end of 2010, or early first quarter 2011, Wise Intelligent will be releasing his first literary effort; an eye opening social analysis of Hip Hop as it relates to the black community. The work is titled “3/5ths an MC: The Manufacturing of a Dumbed Down Rapper!”
